Romiley Village Christmas light switch on and festive market takes place this weekend, Saturday 23rd November 2019. The market and light switch on will take place in Romiley Precinct close to Romiley Forum. The fun starts from 11.00 am and goes on until 6.00 pm.
We have a festive market and there will be entertainment all day, including a DJ and performances by local schools. We are also being joined by Father Christmas, who will be in his grotto from 1.00 pm.
If you are driving into the village and park in either the Romiley Arms or Dye Lane pay and display car parks, then you can claim £1.00 towards your parking, if you spend over £10.00 in TickittyBoo, Poppies and Daisies or Cranes the Jewellers.

This Saturday Father Christmas will be in his grotto from 1.00 pm until 4.30 pm, ably assisted by his festive elves. If you are bringing little ones to visit Santa please remember that they will need to be in the queue by 4.00 pm at the very latest, as we would hate for any little ones to queue up on a chilly day and not get to see Santa.
The event is organised by The Romiley Traders Association, which has been busy this year. We’ve had three brilliant Romiley Food On Friday events, ten monthly Romiley Village markets and contributed to a number of local campaigns. We will be sharing details about the light switch on through our various public Facebook pages and in a number of local of community Facebook groups.
